Transition Town Worthing Sow and Grow Seed Swap and Spring Fair

Sat 4 Feb 2017
The Transition Town Worthing Sow and Grow Seed Swap and Spring Fair took place at Oak Grove College on Saturday 4th February 2017 and was opened by the Mayor of Worthing.

There were seeds and  plants to excange and buy, and a wide variety of sow, grow and community stands. Talks were given on Growing Food, Planting Trees & Managing Water by Worthing Allotments & Gardens (Paul Eustice); on Sowing and Growing in School Grounds by Chichester College (Steve Millam) and on Growing in Green Spaces by AWC & TCV (Peter Whish).

It was a great opportunity for the public to see round the wonderful grounds of Oak Grove College who are members of the E.Y.E Project.

The E.Y.E Project had a stand at the event and attending children planted vegetable seeds in plant pots that they had made from old newspapers, and then labeled these using clean used wooden knives and forks.
