We can announce an exciting opportunity for West Sussex schools to potentially become part of an E.Y.E Project cluster for the Less Co2 Programme commencing in September. They are looking for schools that are within the same region to form clusters and the E.Y.E Project are looking to set up a regional school cluster.
The LESS CO2 programme is free for schools to take part in and staff receive expert advice and resources at four half-day workshops spread across a year. You work with up to 15 local schools in a cluster.
What are the benefits? First and foremost, you will save energy in your school, cutting both costs and carbon emissions. You will also be inspiring students to create solutions and educating future leaders about sustainability, as well as engaging colleagues in improving the school environment. Schools that complete the programme become LESS CO2 accredited schools. Schools that have taken part in the LESS CO2 programme have gone on to save an average of £2,600 and 10 tonnes of carbon each year.
If you are interested in this Programme, please contact Clare Sutton at The E.Y.E Project. In the event that we receive interest from a large number schools wishing to form an E.Y.E Project cluster, we will give priority to new or existing E.Y.E Project member schools. Further details can be found in the attached Less Co2 leaflet.
