Exciting opportunity for your school to be involved in Climate Change Artwork Exhibition at Ropetackle Arts Centre October 2016

Tue 6 Sep 2016

Following on from details in our last newsletter (Issue: 11) we would like to remind Worthing & Adur schools that you have until Friday 23rd September to submit your pupil’s Climate Change artwork to The E.Y.E. Project. This is a great opportunity for your pupil’s talents to be showcased at an exciting week long exhibition open to the public at The Ropetackle Arts Centre.

After the Climate Change Art Competition for the Eco Summit, The Ropetackle Arts Centre in Shoreham advised that it was interested in running an exhibition of inspiring school children’s artwork on the subject of Climate Change.

This exhibition will be taking place from 10th to 14th October and is open to the public giving a great opportunity to show the local community the talent of the young people in schools and their engagement with the important issue of Climate Change.

There will be a function on Tuesday 11th (early evening) with the artists, their parents and guests.

We are inviting all schools within the Worthing & Adur area to send a selection of their pupil’s artwork for the exhibition with the name of the young artist, age and school on the back.

We simply ask that your pupils draw or paint their own impressions of Climate Change and/or its effects.

Please send your pupils art work up to and including Friday 23rd September.

The selection process involving the Ropetackle Arts Centre will take place on 27th September to decide which pieces of artwork which will be displayed at the event.  Notice of which artwork will be displayed will be given the following week to schools that have submitted items.

We look forward to receiving artwork from your pupils. It would be great if we are able to display a selection of artwork from a wide range of schools, and we hope that pupils attending the Eco Summit would particularly be inspired to produce Climate Change artwork.

Just a reminder that you can see details of the previous competition along with the winning entries on our website http://www.eyeproject.co.uk/news/climate-change-art-competition-winners. Winning and highly commended entries will automatically have their artwork displayed at the exhibition so please do advise these pupils accordingly.

The address to send to is: The EYE project, c/o Worthing High School, South Farm Road, Worthing, BN14 7AR.

If you have any questions about this exhibition and opportunity to be involved please do not hesitate to contact the E.Y.E Project.
