Images from the One World One Ocean workshop run by Steve Savage, Biologist and Environmental Educator. The One Ocean Project explores how Shoreham Beach Nature Reserve is connected to the global ocean and how conservation issues such as climage change might impact on our rare vegetated shingle beach. The workshop leader uses a travelling bear to communicate the importance of the oceans and how we are connected to the oceans. Pupils were involved in an activity demonstrating plastic pollution and its impact on marine life. The older students focused on climate issues including the rise in sea temperature and its impact on marine life; sea level rise; and ocean acidification.
